Ooh, the meeting of Sarah and Elswyth reminds me of a bunch of magical girl anime like Sailor Moon and Cardcaptor Sakura - how the titular characters meet a magical creature to being their stories! 😄
Out of curiosity - is a'mun sul derived from anything?
I am thrilled to hear you compare Sarah and Elswyth to Sailor Moon! It was (and still is) one of my favorite animes! Funny enough I have never watched Cardcaptor Sakura but have heard really good things! It's on my watch list for sure!
A'mun sul came to me in a dream many years ago and stuck with me all this time. It actually came in a song, which I may share later in the story ;) I later found that both the Irish and Scottish Gaelic words for light are very similar to "sul" and was inspired to write a story around it.
Oooh, nice inspiration - hopefully we'll get to see the song! 😄
Oooh, that's cool! I need to find the time to properly go through Sailor Moon myself! The new Crystal looks pretty good, so I will have to try that!
For Cardcaptor Sakura, I would recommend the manga myself. The anime expands the amount of cards that Sakura has to collect from 19 to... 52! Which means that it added in a bunch of extra plots and characters that I felt weren't needed. And it then has to take another movie after the series ends to properly finish the story.
That being said, I've only fully read the manga and didn't finish the anime because of what I perceived to be filler, and there ARE people who like the anime more preciously BECAUSE there's more cards, characters, and plots, so...
Just wanted to give you that tidbit, in case it helps. 😅
